Directors

Frances may not know her neem from her moringa - but she knows
lots of people who do! As Chair, her job is to make sure that our
charity reaches the parts other charities do not reach - both in the UK and overseas.
Spencer has been an ITF member for more years than he cares to remember!
Active on the ground in his native Devon, he is also a very experienced Board member
and our Vice Chair. But from time to time he hangs a few corks on his hat and
revisits Western Australia and our colleagues in Men of the Trees, WA.
Bland has a longstanding commitment to sharing of knowledge and experience internationally.
Having been Chair and Treasurer of two other charities, Bland brings useful
experience on the running of our organisation. He also brings beautiful photographs of trees...
David is one of our newest recruits to the Board. He brings experience of developing
community-based initiatives in the UK and is committed to ensuring our overseas
projects bring maximum benefits to the communities in which we work.
Richard is a non-voting member of the Board. Richard has run his own business as
a forester and has worked with international agencies to set up and run community
forestry projects in various developing countries. He has now settled in his native UK and cares for
woodland here. Richard spends part of each week at our office, except when we need him to lend his
expertise elsewhere...
Although originally from Pennsylvania, Tom has put his roots firmly down in the
Dorset countryside. He's been an active member of our Branch there for some years and his role
on the board will be focussed on UK work. Tom's a lecturer in countryside skills.
Kenton spends his days working as an arborist across southern England - but dreams
of following the footsteps of St Barbe Baker across the Sahara! A member of the
Overseas committee, Kenton takes the lead on projects in the Sahel region.
Dominic works for Wetlands International, a Netherlands-based NGO, in Thailand
as their mangrove technical officer. His love of trees stems from his previous career as
an arborist in London, running his own tree firm. He now helps out with any mangrove rehabilitation requests.
Terry has worked in IT all his life and subsequently only speaks geek.
However he is slowly learning the language of trees and their benefits and
hopes to rejoin civilised society in the near future.
